How to fix computers that on startup displays blank screen not even the boot logo is displayed

In most cases computer can have problems with booting, some errors during boot, displaying blank screen or any problems that cannot be resolved. If you are having a problem on startup displays blank screen especially Hp computers or sometimes you pc may refuse to charge when charger is connected try the following steps.


1. This can be done by Clear CMOS to Reset BIOS Settings 
Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor CMOS is a small amount of memory on a computer motherboard that stores the Basic Input Output System BIOS settings. The BIOS is the software stored on the memory chip on the motherboard. It instructs the computer on how to perform a number of basic functions such as booting and keyboard control in the computer.

The BIOS is also used to identify and configure hardware in the computer.

To reset your computers BIOS settings back to the default settings check the steps below.

How to reset BIOS settings

Sometime the computer can have problems with booting, some errors during boot, or any problems that cannot be resolved. This means bios need to be reset also the problem might brought by Hard disk problem.

For no boot or no display issues, clearing CMOS may help recover the boards because that restores the BIOS default settings.

To reset your computers BIOS settings back to the default settings follow the steps below.

1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the AC power source.

3. Remove the computer cover. and find the battery on the board. The battery may be in a horizontal or vertical battery holder, or connected to an onboard header with a wire.

Warning

Before proceeding remember to observe proper anti-static precautions when operating inside the case of your computer. If you do not have an anti-static strap, rub your hands on the metal portion of the case to get rid of static in the computer. If you can’t see your battery right away, try removing expansion cards or unplugging cables. Most new motherboards use lithium batteries that look like large watch batteries. See the image below.

4. Remove the battery: If the battery is in a holder, note the orientation of the + and – on the battery. Gently pry the battery free from its connector. If the battery is connected to an onboard header with a wire, disconnect the wire from the onboard header.

Wait 1–5 minutes, then reconnect the battery. Put the computer cover back on. Plug the computer and all devices back in. and power on your computer
